KOMPAS.com – The WhatsApp messaging application has returned to create statuses aimed at its users.
Based on monitoring Kompas.com, Thursday (18/8/2022), the status that WhatsApp sent to the user was information on the voicemail feature update or voice note.
“Sending voice messages just got easier. Listen to voice messages while chatting with other friends,” WhatsApp wrote in its status.
WhatsApp gave an example, users can speed up received voice messages or chat while listening to voice messages.

Voicemail feature update
Voice messages are a feature available on WhatsApp since 2013.
According to WhatsApp, in a day there are about 7 billion voice messages sent by users.
“Voicemail has made it faster and easier for people to have more expressive conversations. Showing emotion or excitement through voice is more natural than text, and in many situations, voice messages are the preferred form of communication on WhatsApp,” WhatsApp wrote in its announcement.
Recently, WhatsApp made a number of innovations in its voicemail feature.

1. Playback outside chat

3. Visualization of waveforms

4. Draft preview
WhatsApp users can now also listen to voice messages before sending them to other users.

5. Pause playing voice messages
Another thing that is added in the voicemail feature is that users can pause the voicemail that is being played.
Then when returning to the chat, the user can resume the voice message that had been paused without having to start from the beginning.
6. Speed up message playback
Now WhatsApp users can also play voice messages at a speed of 1.5X or 2X.
