USA has 55.2% of its population vaccinated against the coronavirus. While the Food and Drug Administration advisory committee recommends the application of a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer for those over 65 and the population at high risk of the vaccine. However still there is a population that does not want to be vaccinated against the virus despite the risk that it entails. This was the case of Samantha Wendell, a 29-year-old surgical technician, who did not have the covid vaccine and has died of coronavirus.
This Kentucky-based nurse did not receive the coronavirus vaccine because she several co-workers falsely stated that it caused infertility. The young woman was not vaccinated and has died after several weeks fighting the SARS-CoV-2 disease, according to the ‘Daily Star’. The woman wanted to start a family with her partner, whom she was going to marry, and you were afraid you couldn’t get pregnant if you were vaccinated against COVID-19.
Samantha spent the day of her wedding, on August 21, in the hospital and connected to a respirator. The nurse will have her funeral at the church where she was to be married, and where her parents were married decades ago. “The misinformation killed her. If we can save more lives and families’ lives, then this is the gift that she left us to give,” explained her cousin.
The young She wanted to be vaccinated against the coronavirus when she was already admitted but it was too late. “I am very sorry that this was easily avoided,” his mother revealed.
