Barcelona sees Arthur Cabral as viable, says newspaper

Forward Arthur Cabral, from Basel, is one of the most viable goals to strengthen the offensive sector of the Barcelona. The information is from Mundo Deportivo newspaper.

According to the publication, the Catalan club studied the hiring of the former player of the palm trees. The price would vary between 8 and 10 million euros, a value that is within Barcelona’s budget. The Brazilian’s salary would be one of the lowest in the cast.

Also according to the newspaper, Barça sources assure that the boards of the two teams have not yet advanced in the negotiation. The final decision on the signing of the striker will be made by coach Xavi Hernández, who took over from Barcelona recently.

Arthur Cabral has 23 goals in 24 games this season. It is his third season in the Old Continent, where he was sold by Palmeiras in August 2019. The contract with Basel runs until mid 2023.

A sale to Barcelona could interest Palmeiras, the last club of the striker in Brazil. Alviverde pocketed around R$ 13 million at the time of its sale, two years ago, and also guaranteed the right to 30% of the profit that Basel would obtain in an eventual new sale.
