One year after taking a stake in the Lagardère group, Vivendi, a group controlled by Vincent Bolloré, is preparing to launch a takeover bid. Hatchet, Paris Match, Europe 1 and Sunday Newspaper could thus fall into the hands of the powerful businessman, already owner of Canal + and CNews.
How did Vincent Bolloré build such a media empire? Why does he attract the wrath of some of his editorial staff? And why does this grip worry even the corridors of the Elysee?
In July, Sandrine Cassini, media journalist at World, had told us, in podcast, the course of the Breton businessman, his influence on media with the sometimes very conservative line, and had explained to us the “Bolloré method”. We are republishing this episode of “L’Heure du Monde” on the occasion of the public takeover bid (OPA) that it is preparing to launch for Lagardère.
An episode produced by Adèle Ponticelli, directed by Amandine Robillard and presented by Morgane Tual.
