One year after taking a stake in the Lagardère group, Vivendi, a group controlled by Vincent Bolloré, is preparing to launch a takeover bid. Hatchet, Paris Match, Europe 1 and Sunday Newspaper could thus fall into the hands of the powerful businessman, already owner of Canal + and CNews.

How did Vincent Bolloré build such a media empire? Why does he attract the wrath of some of his editorial staff? And why does this grip worry even the corridors of the Elysee?
