The National Sanitation Commission of China today announced the detection of 49 new positives of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus this Sunday, of which 28 were produced by local contagion in the southeastern province of Fujian, scene of a small regrowth in recent weeks.
The remaining 21 cases were diagnosed in travelers from outside the borders of mainland China in the municipality of Shanghai (east, 4) and in the provinces of Yunnan (on, 9), Zhejiang (is, 2), Guangxi (on, 2), Sichuan (center, 2), Fujian (southeast, 1), and Shandong (is, 1).
The figure remains in line with the last few days: this Sunday they announced 66 new cases, for the 46 of Saturday.
The health authorities also reported today of the detection of 13 new asymptomatic infections (all but one “imported” from the southern province of Yunnan), although Beijing does not count them as confirmed cases unless they manifest symptoms. The total of this type of infection under observation is 354, of which 345 come from other territories.
