Figures obtained by E24 from the network operator Statnett show that net exports from the New Year until the end of August were 10.8 terawatt hours (TWh), while the average for the last ten years is a net export of 11.1 TWh.
– Exports in 2021 have been quite normal, I would say. Exports so far this year are at the same level as last year, when electricity prices were at a record low, while prices are now at a record high level, says communications director Henrik Glette in Statnett to the newspaper.
The company is responsible for the operation of the 17 power connections from Norway to other countries.
