- Update: Actor and singer Jamie Foxx has been hospitalized due to a severe allergic reaction he suffered while filming a new movie in New Mexico.
- Foxx, who had to seek emergency medical treatment, posted a video on Instagram to apologize to his fans for having to cancel a performance in Ohio. “I went to the hospital on Friday … they had to give me a shot of epinephrine, which is usually given to people who have anaphylactic shock … I got the treatment and I’m fine,” he said in the clip.
Several fans of Foxx have flooded social media with well wishes since the news of his hospitalization broke. Meanwhile, the 52-year-old actor appears to be in good spirits, joking about his condition in the same video.
- “It’s tough. I’m from Texas and you know, down there we just eat grits and gravy and everything else, and I guess my antibodies were just battling,” he said, with a chuckle.
