Since 2017, he has played four ECHL seasons in the Tulsa Oilers jersey. In the 2018/2019 season, he was the best of all ECHL goalkeepers with an average of 2.12 goals collected per match. At the beginning of the 2012/2013 season, he played in the prestigious Hlinka Gretzky Cup youth tournament.
Pohjanoksa came to Michalovce before the 2021/2022 season from the second highest Swedish competition.
