These words inspired the composer, and a song has been made, which will premiere on Latvian television on September 17 – the 70th anniversary of Mārtiņš Brauns!

What is the jubilee time in music, what like-minded people see in music and what Mārtiņš Brauns himself sees – these are the questions you want to ask now.

“I can be grateful to Pēteris Plakidis, who dragged me to the National Theater to be the head of the musical department, I was still a student, those were my dreams that came true,” remembers Mārtiņš Brauns. was another job started. So what will take the place? And he suggested me. In this way, he helped me get to film music and involved me in theater. What was interesting about the National was that, for example, when staging a French play, I studied French music. The easiest way to imitate the Spaniards, they are characterized by harmony. When writing “Julia Caesar”, I had to think about what Roman language or Roman music could be – these tasks were difficult.

Since the actor portrays something, so do I portray. I couldn’t lose anything from my brain, but the music was Brown.

I was most influenced by Indian music, they are Indian horns, because I assumed when writing “Maugli” that “Maugli” is the jungle of India. “

Mārtiņš Brauns grew up in a family of doctors and admits that he wanted to become a doctor himself, but at the age of five his parents realized that the boy has absolute hearing and directed himself to music.

The composer also mentions the difficult, long piano lessons, which turned into great pleasure when he “met” the blues: when you’re creative, when you listen to the blues, feel – it’s all in there, there’s not just laziness, in jazz too… I do it now, I have everything on my feet, I just do … Nothing, it’s math, it’s caia I have all the emotions you have. in concerts I like to put “Divorce blues” together with “Love is like fire”, because they both talk to each other, one says away from here, and the other says: “Everything can be taken away from us, only love can not.” Good end to the concert! “

Currently, encouraged by producer Jānis Kļaviņš, Mārtiņš Brauns is preparing for a big concert, which could take place in the autumn around Mārtiņnapas. If it has a terrible outlet with on-call phrases in poetry, sorry, I won’t follow. I have enough funds to not pretend to be younger than I am. My time is my time, but it is temporary, and all times are temporary. ”

This is a time of anniversaries, but Mārtiņš Brauns does not want praise and praise: “Thank you to my parents, my employers and my fools, including the poor, who provoked me to anger. in self-isolation, because the anniversary is nothing, well, and then that the years change! “

Conductor Ivars Cinkuss admits: “This is a two-part song.
