The mayor of Cluj, Emil Boc, claims that PSD is no longer a corrupt party, and the PSD-PNL coalition is seen as a union of rival players, when they are selected in the national team. He made the statements on a radio show, broadcast by Napoca FM.
“These two games, PSD and PNL, are like two football teams, which have a historical rivalry, but, when the players of these teams play for the Romanian national team, they put the rivalry in the background and play, they give their best, for the country, for Romania. Beyond the club you belong to, you must be loyal to Romania.
We have a head of government, a team captain, for whom, by the nature of his profession, loyalty to Romania is the supreme law.
There are the ingredients for this government to play for Romania and not for the clubs they belong to, first of all “, says Emil Boc, quoted by Știri de Cluj.
He also said that this coalition is not justified if the MCV is not lifted and if Romania does not enter Schengen.
“This coalition is not justified if it does not reform the local public administration, if it does not lead Romania to Schengen, by eliminating the MCV, if it does not raise the living standards of Romanians, if it does not absorb through massive investments all European money available through PNRR and funds if they do not eliminate special pensions, if they do not digitize the central and local public administration, if they do not control the pandemic, through mass vaccination, if they do not put professionals in the right place, if they do not govern transparently without corruption, if they end the collaboration the harsh electorate of the two parties will not say: “It was worth it, for Romania, although I did not agree with this political compromise!”. If these do not happen, this coalition has no purpose “, said Emil Boc, on Napoca FM.
