Saudi Arabia Again Condemns Iran’s Aggressive Policies

RIYADH Saudi Arabia reiterates its condemnation of aggressive policies Iran and said it supports international efforts to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. The comments were made by the Acting Saudi Minister of Information, Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, following the weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired remotely by King Salman of NEOM.

As reported by Arab News, Wednesday (11/24/2021), the Cabinet reviewed the results of the meeting of the United States-GCC Working Group on Iran chaired by the Kingdom, where they emphasized the need for a common determination to contribute to regional security and stability.

The Council also reiterated the Kingdom’s statement at a special UN meeting on “threats and trends in terrorist financing and implementation of Security Council Resolution 2462.”

“The Cabinet underlines its importance in preventing the provision of any form of support to entities and persons involved in money laundering, terror financing and similar acts,” Al-Qasabi told the Saudi Press Agency.

The group called on Iran to fully cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and commit to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, ahead of comprehensive diplomatic efforts of all relevant parties to address all issues related to the sustainability of security, safety and prosperity in the region. .

Until now, Iran’s nuclear program is still an obstacle for a number of countries. Iran’s enemies accuse the program of building nuclear weapons, while Iran itself says its nuclear program was built for peaceful purposes.

Earlier this week, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, was in Iran for a visit. The head of the UN Nuclear Watchdog met with Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami during his visits so far.
