Tottenham were in an early disadvantage and were sent off by Ryan Sessegnon in the first half when they visited NS Mura. Star Harry Kane managed to equalize, but in stoppage time the Slovenes regained the lead, and Tottenham were allowed to go home without points.
Antonio Conte’s decision to let a couple of new players take place in the eleven did not go well. When Jamie O’Hara, who previously played for the club, is to analyze the match in Sky Sports studio, he is really tough on some of the guys on the field.
– It’s a shame, and some of the players – and I say which ones – Matt Doherty, Tanguy Ndombele, Dele Alli and Davinson Sanchez were absolutely shocking. Some of them should never wear a Spurs shirt again, if I may decide, he says.
O’Hara says the players had a great chance to impress their new coach Conte, but they failed.
– You have to go out there and give everything you have and make an incredible effort that says: “I want to be part of this group and part of the Conte era” but there is no player on the field who deserves credit after it this match, he says and continues:
– Some of them were really a shame and if Conte does not make big changes… Get them out of the club, get rid of them, get rid of their salary costs, we do not want them. It’s pathetic.
