Gold, silver, bronze, special mentions as finalists … this is the balance of Spanish productions at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards 2021 that, for yet another year, have paid tribute to audiovisual content.
Spain has played a good role in the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards 2021, who has returned from Las Vegas with 23 medals, between gold (6), silver (6) and bronze (11) medals; in addition to being finalists in seven. The contest distinguishes each year the creative excellence in the audiovisual sector in more than fifty countries.
Spanish Television it was settled with two golds and a bronze. The oros achieved were The Aleppo psychiatrist, report of On the front page de La 2, awarded with the precious metal for the best documentary in the Social Justice category. Story Productions was the producer, together with RTVE, of Wild Covid, wild pandemic, also broadcast on La 2, a documentary that was awarded in the Nature and Wildlife category. With a medal of bronze it was recognized 200, one night at the Prado Museum, produced in collaboration with Brutal Media, as the best art documentary.
In addition, the series HIT, produced in collaboration with Ganga, was finalist in the Drama category.
The streaming platform, Planet Horror, gave him four alegrías, translated into four awards to AMC Networks International Southern Europe. Produced with Wild Duck Productions, it won the oro in the category of best Entertainment Program Promotion; the the payment in Promotion of Platform Image; and the bronze in Best Brand Image. Stayed finalist in two other categories.
Sony Pictures Entertainment Iberia a total of three awards were brought, dos oros for his campaigns ‘Your movie of the moment’ and ‘Sixth sports’, both from AXN and a silver for the promo of his Western movies also for AXN.
The disney campaigns upon Vis a Vis they also had rewards. Specifically ‘Vis a Vis Joiners’ to promote Vis a Vis: El osasis at Fox, he got a medal of oro; ‘Vis a Vis a new universe: 4 rules’ and’ Vis a Vis a new universe. Tribute to Maca ‘got a the payment each; while ‘Vis a Vis red lines’ and the generic Vis a Vis a new universe’ each took away bronzes. He also received a bronze the anti-bulling campaign, ‘Antibulling’, broadcast on Disney channels.
TCM and his documentary Discovering Sam Peckinpah on the figure of the director, through the gaze of his youngest daughter, Lupita, he took four bronzes in different categories, such as Editorial or Music.
The short We are earth for Viñas Familia Gil, from the DEC BBDO creative agency, was recognized with a the payment within corporate image in the Sustainable Development category; two bronzes in Branded Content and Script, in addition to being finalist in Corporate Social Responsibility. The work recalls the importance of caring for the rural areas.
As they were also finalists the Serie El Palmar de Troya of Movistar + and the promotional campaign ‘Tortosa, a whole life to go, a second to fall in love’, carried out by the City Council of the Tarragona town.
