The businessman who distributed his salary among his employees and came out winning

In an interview with CBS News, he revealed that his policy did not change and his employees continue to have the same benefits.

Contrary to much of the criticism it received, the payment processing firm prospered and even tripled its workforce, while the turnover rate was cut in half.

Although at the beginning Price had to adapt his lifestyle, and even sell a second home that he had and use his savings, now he says that he does not need so much money to live and he has seen the benefits that this brought for his company, such as example having very loyal employees.

Price recalls that when the coronavirus pandemic began, the Seattle-based company had a difficult time losing 55% of its revenue. However, his team voluntarily accepted a temporary pay cut, which allowed them to move on and as the situation improved they were compensated.

Faced with the good results, Price urges other companies to do the same, although he regrets that no large corporation has taken that initiative.

The workers are so comfortable in Gravity Payments that, as a thank you they gave Price a Tesla Model S. “My employees did much more for me than I could do for them,” concluded the businessman.
