When it was thought that there was no missing platform to integrate short videos like the ones you used for the first time TikTok, rumors point to Spotify. The streaming musical has been discovered working on this enhancement, although nothing has been confirmed yet. Here the details.
According to information from the specialized media ‘TechCrunch‘, the music service has a beta test for iOS that shows short video clips on vertical screen while songs are playing. Later, the company confirmed this to the aforementioned media, but the doubts continue.
So far, it is not known if the function will be extended to the official version of the app or if it will also reach Android. However, the function discovered by Chris Messina, reported via Twitter that there will be a section between the options, which will be named ‘Discover’, where you can watch videos and swipe from bottom to top like on TikTok.
It is also known that the platform could use the Canvas format that it already has, although not all artists offer it. And it is that Canvas allows them to upload videos in a loop of three to eight seconds for their songs while they are playing, but there would be a change in these for the new section.

It is worth mentioning that the novelty in Spotify about uploading short videos like these comes after Netflix developed a similar function. In it, the audiovisual service works with the tool called ‘Kid Clips’, with which it seeks to promote content for adolescents and children as its main objective.
