WhatsApp for iOS users get cross-device support in the stable version of the app, as WhatsApp users now enjoy multi-device functionality in the stable iOS version of the app. Users of the latest version 184.108.40.206 of WhatsApp for iOS who signed up for the beta program will now receive a cross-device message in the Linked Devices section of Settings, Gsmarena reports. To activate the multi-device beta on iOS, please update to the latest version of the App Store and select the multi-device view in the “Linked devices” section. Now scan the QR code with your phone as in WhatsApp Web as reported by newsbeezer. In addition, WhatsApp has also started testing a new Business Directory feature in the app which will allow users in Brazil to find local businesses and services in the app. The feature is currently being tested In Sao Paulo, the company plans to roll it out to users in India and Indonesia soon. The test will involve thousands of businesses in categories such as grocery, retail, and local services in some Sao Paulo neighborhoods. Facebook acquired WhatsApp for $19 billion in 2014, but the platform lacks a model to invest millions in Daily active users. The company is currently looking at different ways to generate revenue, but it has not ruled out in-app ads.
