“At that time, I was very poor, still living in a rented house and had nothing on hand. After a while, I was brave enough to invest in film and comedy projects for Tet. Luckily, at that time, tapes and records were sold well. So I gradually got better off. My husband and I saved up, then gradually we had a little bit,” Binh Trong said.
Binh Trong said that when they first got married, his wife was quite… jealous. There was even a time when he had to go to a neighbor’s house and ask to sleep because his wife wouldn’t open the door to let him in.
“This is a true story of my husband and I when we first got married. At that time, without children, we often drank with friends. When I came home, my wife didn’t bother to open the door, I don’t know if it was because she overslept or… angry,” he recounted.
The male director added that in the first years of their marriage, the couple did not understand each other so there were still “this and that story”. He even admitted that he had made a mistake but was forgiven by his wife.
“I’m a man, so I also make mistakes that are unavoidable, because I go out, there are things I can’t control. When my wife found out, she was sad, but later, she forgave me.
When they have children together, women are more rational, they “tighten their hearts” to deal with their husbands, so I know how to live a more disciplined life. After many years of living together, she understood my personality so she was no longer jealous but encouraged her husband to do business and take care of the family and home,” Binh Trong recounted.

He said: “To be honest, my wife is in charge of the family’s finances, she manages and spends well, so I don’t have to worry about anything.
