A 23-year-old female teacher was forced into an SUV by three men in Hassan district, Karnataka state, India on the morning of November 30.

The clip recording the incident begins with a man loitering near an alley. Just then, a female teacher, identified as Arpita, walked out from the alley. At this time, an SUV slowly approached her. Immediately, a man ran down the street, he joined the man loitering outside the alley and they both grabbed the female teacher.

The car door opened, another man got out and the three pushed the woman into the car. The SUV then left the scene.

Police then went to the crime scene and spoke to locals about the incident. According to police, Arpita’s mother accused Ramu of being involved in her kidnapping. The family said the two had been in love for about 4 years.

Police said three teams have been formed and they are investigating the case from all angles. “The woman worked at a school. She was kidnapped on the day the school was closed. Why did she leave home and go to school when the school was closed? Was there some business or did she go out to do something else? We I am investigating all this,” said police chief Hassan Mohammed Sujeeta.

It is known that on November 30, schools in Karnataka were closed to celebrate Kanaka Dasa Jayanti, the birth anniversary of poet and philosopher Kanaka Dasa.
