On March 1, 2008, two men broke into the Caffey family’s house in Alba, Texas (USA), and caused a shocking massacre of the entire family, including one woman (Erin’s mother). ) and two young children (Erin’s younger brother) were killed.
The survivors were Erin Caffrey, 16, and her father, Terry Caffey. It is known that Terry was shot multiple times before two attackers set fire to his house. But miraculously, Terry was able to escape the house and call for help.

Five months before the murder, Erin began dating Charlie Wilkinson, then 18 years old. The couple met when Erin worked part-time as a waitress at a Sonic fast food restaurant and their relationship developed quickly. Charlie even gave Erin a ring and openly wanted to marry her.
However, Erin’s parents do not support their daughter’s relationship with Charlie. They “investigated” Charlie and found it necessary to separate Charlie from Erin. In February 2008, her parents asked her to end her relationship with Charlie immediately.
That same month, Erin Caffey said in front of her friends that the only way she could be with Charlie was to make her parents “disappear”. Therefore, Erin hatched a murder plot with Charlie and his friend, Charles Waid.
Terry Caffey later denied the idea that his daughter was the mastermind of the murder. Meanwhile, Charlie claims he suggested that Erin and Erin simply run away together, but instead Erin wanted to murder the entire family.

On the day tragedy happened, Charlie and Charles broke into Erin’s house, while Erin and Charles’ girlfriend sat in the car waiting outside.
The source said that before breaking into the house, Charlie warned Erin that he would have to kill her younger brothers so there would be no witnesses. Erin allegedly responded: “I don’t care. Just do what you need to do.”
The two assassins then used guns and swords to kill Erin’s parents and two younger siblings, before setting fire to the house. Before fleeing, they took some valuable objects, because Charlie had promised to pay Charles $2,000.
Despite being hit by bullets, Terry Caffey suddenly woke up when fire engulfed his house. It took Terry an hour to crawl to his neighbor’s house and ask them to file a police report.
Authorities immediately tracked down Charlie and detained him for questioning. They then discover Erin in a trailer, Charlie’s residence, and Erin appears to be in a state of shock. Erin told the police that she was kidnapped and that she had nothing to do with her family’s murder. However, both Charlie and Charles told the police that murder was Erin’s idea.
In the end, Charlie, Charles, Erin and Charles’ girlfriend were all charged with three counts of murder. Charlie and Charles were sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole. Erin was also sentenced to life in prison, but is eligible to apply for parole after 40 years.
