On November 28, Ukrainian news agency Babel reported that Marianna Budanova, wife of the head of the Ukrainian Military Intelligence Service (GUR) Kyrylo Budanov, was hospitalized for heavy metal poisoning. Ms. Budanova was hospitalized after feeling unwell for a long time.
Also according to Babel, an investigation into the plot to assassinate Ms. Budanova is being conducted by Ukraine.
Previously, in an interview with the media, Mr. Budanov revealed that Ms. Budanova was in the office with him, although she was not an employee of GUR. Earlier this year, Mr. Budanov said he had missed assassination attempts 10 times.
