Florian Vermeersch won bronze in the UCI World Road Cycling Championships time trial on Monday. Danish Johan Price-Pejtersen was the fastest on the 30.3 km course between Knokke-Heist and Bruges, confirming Denmark’s dominance in this category. The Australian Lucas Plapp took second place, Norwegian Søren Wærenskjold the 4th.
Vermeersch brings Belgium a third medal after the silver and bronze won on Sunday by Wout van Aert and Remco Evenepoel among the elites.

As the hopeful event was not contested in 2020, at Imola, Price-Pejtersen offered Denmark a fifth title in the last six editions, after the victory of Mads Würtz Schmidt in 2015 and the three consecutive successes of Mikkel Bjerg between 2017 and 2019.
The next meeting of these Worlds is the elite ladies time trial which will take place this Monday at 2:30 p.m. He will be followed live video on RTBF.
