Muscat: The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs of Oman has decided to resume Friday prayers in mosques that have been suspended in the wake of the coup. With the approval of the Supreme Committee, it has been decided to resume Friday prayers in mosques from September 24.
Applications for a permit to attend prayers will be accepted from September 19 https://www.mara.gov.om/arabic/jmah_form.aspx Can be submitted through the link. Only those who have received the Kovid vaccine will be allowed to attend Friday prayers. Churches will be allowed access to prayers at 50 per cent capacity. The ministry added that all Kovid defense guidelines must be followed to attend prayers.
